So you have some fan art you'd like to display here at Maverick Hunter HQ? That's great! We're always glad to welcome new artists into our gallery. All we ask is that the artwork comply with the following rules (exceptions will not be made):

1. All artwork must be created by the creator and cannot simply be the recreation of an official piece of art. For example, copying line for line an image out of an artbook or user's manual so the finished product -- though recreated -- looks identical to the original. If I can take your image and line it up side by side with an official one and the two match, it will not be accepted. Likewise, any recreation of someone else's fan art or submission of someone else's fan art as your own will not be accepted. You can submit your own fan art, but not someone else's.

2. Edited official art will not be accepted in any form. This includes re-colors of armor, edited facial expressions, sprite comics, sprite-based artwork, or anything else of the like. If it's official artwork and simply edited in any way, it will be rejected.

3. All fan art submissions must be Mega Man related in nature. If you want to submit artwork of your own fan character(s), this is only acceptable if the character(s) appear with an official Mega Man character. Images of only fan characters will not be accepted.

4. We are attempting to cultivate an atmosphere on this site appropriate for all ages. Any fan art of an excessively violent nature (gore, excessive blood, etc.) or of an adult nature (nudity, sexual content, etc.) will not be accepted. In the end, we have the final say on what is or is not appropriate.

5. Quality of artwork is a very subjective term and it is not our goal to accept or reject artwork based upon its quality; however, if we feel there has not been sufficient time or effort put into the creation of the piece, it may be rejected. Our fan art gallery is designed to be a place primarily for fans who love to create and share their artwork. We expect the artists using our site to display their artwork to put a certain amount of time, effort, passion, and pride into the creation of the pieces they display here. If you do this, you'll be just fine. Don't doubt your own talent.

That said, we have a few guidelines for what can or cannot be submitted as fan art:

Can be submitted: any artwork created by traditional means (graphite/pencil, charcoal, pastels, inks, markers, painting, sculpture, etc.) or digital means (Photoshop, Painter, Paint Shop Pro, etc.)

Cannot be submitted: Desktop images, wallpapers, skins, avatars, icons, or any such images utilizing official artwork

Provided your artwork complies with the rules listed above, all submission requests can be made by contacting me at maverickhunterzero@nycap.rr.com. Please make the subject line, "Fan Art Gallery Submission Request." Do not attach images to e-mail unless I direct you to do so. If you have your fan art displayed on another website, please include a link in the e-mail. If not, I will direct you when and where to e-mail it to me so we don't overload my e-mail provider. It's as simple as that!
