Artist's Comments: Oh, I had a ton of fun working on this one! Believe it or not, the idea for this one was born out of an unintentional challenge I simply couldn't resist... I had just received my copy of the Rockman Zero Physis III CD and was admiring the cover art -- this beautiful image of that series' version of Zero lying in the grass with his eyes closed -- when I was told rather casually and confidently, "You could do better." :P I looked him right in the eye as if he were crazy, but I couldn't resist the challenge. I decided then I would draw my own version of that image, but using Mega Man X's version of Zero. I then decided to add X into the picture as well to complete it. I'm not sure it's "better" than the official art that inspired it, but I am immensely proud of how this turned out! Sometimes challenges -- even unintentional ones -- can be the best inspiration, and I'm certainly glad I took on this one!
